Green and wood kitchen – modern open plan with island

Our customer was undertaking a complete renovation of a cottage in the countryside. They wanted a modern kitchen that used natural tones. We worked with them pairing various combinations of colours and woods to help them. The final result is a combination of dark green and natural oak which blends with the countryside and trees surrounding them.

The furniture comes from Leicht and uses the Topos (Alpine Natural Oak) and F45 (Boreal Green) ranges. The Topos doors are wood veneered fronts with vertical graining and a continuous veneer. The F45 doors are made from Fenix laminate and are ultra matt, soft touch and anti-fingerprint. The light Ammonite Imperial Gold 20mm quartz worktops complement the overall colour aesthetic with its gold veining.

Kitchen is equipped with a Bora Pure vented hob and a host of Siemens integrated appliances. These include an oven, combi, dishwasher, tall freezer and tall fridge. Also comes with a Quooker Patinated Brass Hot Tap.

The use of a vented hob negates the need for an extractor hood thus avoiding obscuring the view of the countryside from the island. The bar seating on the island makes it a sociable space while cooking and there is plenty of storage ensuring the kitchen remains clutter-free. The overall aesthetic is beautiful and shows how a modern kitchen can really work in a traditional building such as a cottage. Our customer is delighted with their new kitchen.
